When designing and building a fly rod I aim for the end result to be a rod that is powerful, responsive and delicate regardless of line weight. A rod that is easy to load and difficult to overload that performs equally well both in close and at range. I make rods that I feel marry these two qualities, cast a line exceptionally well, are responsive to caster input and have the fish fighting abilities to back the courage of the angler’s convictions should that fish of a lifetime materialize when you least expect it.
